Well that's how it started. I don't have an eating plan, as long as it stay 500 under mIntenance and <20g carbs and no fruit sugars am I doing this right?

Monday - Friday is the no carb days. Saturday is the 12-18 hour refuel, the. The cycle restarts. My mom can't do weigts but I'm going to do weights Monday-Wednesday and cardio Thursday And Fridays. Sundays will be intense weights + cardio to help deplete glycogen from the liver.

I know what ketones are and Ive read up on the damn diet. I printed out a 20 page article on how to do them and good foods to eat while on them. As far as Aas, I'm not even freaking on them. All I asked was is my keto diet looking ok.

Ketogenic diets seek to deplete the liver of glycogen so that it will have to use the stores of glycogen stored as fat.
This is done by eating minimal to NO carbs.
That's a keto diet in laymens terms.

If you want to learn the very basics, get down to the library and read a biochemistry textbook. That cleared up carbohydrates/glycogen/fat for me like you wouldn't believe. In terms of basic structure and function in the body.
Lyle McDonald knows his stuff, also. I have his rapid fatloss handbook somewhere and its pretty darned good.

I think I need to check out a Bio book and read up a little, I took a look at Lyle's book and didn't understand half of it. I may just ask my Chemistry or Biology professor if they could shed some light upon it too. I really want to understand this, but it's so confusing some times![]()

I don't think you've read up a 20 page article on the diet, I think you just know that it's a low carb diet. You don't even know what ketones are and what happens in the diet itself.
I'm not rooting for you to go, but if you really want to leave because of 2 comments then go ahead and be my guest. Just shows you're not really concerned about yourself and are just trying to prove points.
I personally want to cut and start a keto diet bulk later on, so that when I go to uni I don't need to go on an aggressive and potentially muscle breaking cut.

Look, you seem like a good enough kid and it's clear you want to learn. But your attitude sucks. I'm sure it's the whole going through adolescence phase, but you ask questions, then you you are given answers that you don't like you insist that you know what you're talking about. Sometimes you make it clear that you don't care about the other opinion that has been given in response to your inquiry and you're going to do whatever it was you had planned on in the first place. It pisses people off because it wastes everyone's time.
