    HST-first time

    Hey!I wanna start a HST cycle

    *no place to do dips in my gym; can't squat,deadlift>i know,it sucks,I'll see a doc soon,I hope so

    Here's my first 2 week plan -> 15 reps.



    - that's the order I'll be using : legs,chest,back,traps,shoulders,bis,tris,calves,ab s
    - 30 seconds rest between sets and 60 seconds rest between exercises

    It's actually not bad as far as exercise selection. If I remember correctly, HST uses linear periodization? That is, the next two weeks after this you might do sets of 12, then 10, then 8, etc? I seem to recall it's also a pretty low volume routine. Even as the intensity goes up, it's still only 1-2 sets per exercise, correct?

    I'm not the biggest fan of HST, but anything that uses progression should work, assuming your diet is in check. I'm assuming your goal is gaining muscle mass?

    What is preventing you from doing squats and deadlifts? Lower back issues perhaps? I bet there are some other alternatives you could use without ill effect while you are healing.
    The only time it's bad to feel the burn is when you're peeing...

    linear periodization-yes,15 reps then 10 and 5

    I've heard good/bad things about HST but I'm giving it a try as I want to see how it works.

    I'm actually trying to lower my bodyfat while not getting rid of the muscle mass

    Knee problems,lower back problems-it hurts!
