hey bros, a buddy and i are debating about pct after the age of 40. i still run pct after every cycle and he does not. what are your thoughts?

I think it's very important to run a good PCT always but in your friends case being over 40 may be even more important.
Think of it like this. As a man ages his natural test diminishes anyway so it should be more important to get what little he does have naturally going again.
In fact it may be advisable to run a longer PCT for a older man just to be certain everything is getting back where it should be or has been.
In addition to this I believe the use of HCG ON cycle is a must and again for a older man.
So I have no idea what your buddy's reasoning is for not running a good PCT but I would certainly advise him to get started doing so.
He could most likely prevent a crash and big loss of strength after a cycle if he did.
Ask him this....how much strength does he loose after cycle OR what is the usual amount of weight he looses after cycle?
Then have him do a proper PCT and see if it doesnt make a big differance.

^^^^ excellent advice, im 45 and realy screwed my shit up. tell ya bro he aint bouncing back as fast as he thinks the older he gets, i use to pct and even got my wife pregnent on gear, until now!!!!
i didnt pct my last run and im still suffering the mistake. my wife wants baby and im sterile now and been for the past 6 months. and i been spending big money on pct, and still nothing, i would take that advice of doing hcg while on, bcuz it works, your bro keeps shutting down that hpta system, one day it will be off for good !!!!!!!!

Above 40, the best pct is 250mg test cyp EW

I'm 55 and as far as I can tell I havent screwed up anything yet. (knock on wood)
I have some blood work that just came in for a whole series of test with total T, free T and estro just being some of them.
As soon as I recieve the hard copies I will share the details and we shall see.
I have been totally off for over six months and ready to hit it again so I wanted a good base line just to see where I am naturally.
The way I feel I wont be surprised if it's still quite high all considering.
We shall see soon.
I can tell you this my Doc was empressed.
I may go on self administered TRT but up till now hasnt been a issue.

at 51 i wouldnt even start a cycle without PCT on hand to finish up with....this may be a stupid question but why would over 40 have anything to do with the need for PCT? whats the reasoning?

PCT is also more than just getting your level back to right? I'm not a pro but If your running large amounts of test or anything else that can aromatize into estrogen, on cycle regulation of estrogen and PCT are huge, that estrogen doesn't just float around doing nothing. Gyno, moodiness etc? Oh not to mention, I'm 25 and I'm pretty sure I'm still sterile from never using PCT on 5 cycles 4 of which included tren. Age shouldn't matter when if comes to how your endocrine sys functions.
Always a great idea to taper off the steroids and then hit PCT when over 40. All medical science and all Doctors agree that steroids should be tapered...all meat heads with no education believe tapering is bullshit.

Over 40 I wouldn't pct, just do your own TRT. If he's coming off and still not running any type of pct that's just foolish at any age
