Wanna get rid of those annoying pop-ups?

I went to bed last night and left my comp on. When I woke up I had about 15 pop-up ads that I had to delete. 4 of them promised me a larger penis which is not all that bad of a proposition. Now, What I find ironic about the whole situation is that 11 of these damned things were ads to prevent ads from popping up on my computer. You see, if the 11 ads were not even there and I only had 4 to deal with, those sons of bitches would not be so annoying. So, instead of being able to wake right up and look at freshly downloaded porn, I had to click 72 times to get rid of shitty pop-up ads and take a damned shower.

I use the AnalogX.com blocker called POW!, you have to add a header for each new popup which is easy, I prefer this to the other types because when you open a new window (I do this often) those can act screwy.

Also turn off Messenger service if your using 2k/XP, in Administrative Tools > Services

All you need to do is turn off the Messenger Service.

hummm could be a solution to my problem as well.

maybe if i say " but all i want is a commitment and to settle down and have a family" that should scare them away.

that may help in some cases, but if you download, install and run ad-aware you will be surprised at all of the crap installed and running on your PC right now!

use Mozilla browser - it has built in pop-up killer

make sure u have "messenger" under "service" shut off

this is not MSN messenger, but a built in messenger system that admins us, but XP has it on by defualt so u get messages via them.


go to

control panel / admin tools / service

find messenger - open it - properties - start up type - disabled - hit "stop" apply

And J'Bo...I find it hard to believe...given those pics I saw...you have a hard time getting men

Most of what many of us are going to see are flat out popups, I rarely get messenger spam. I included instructions for turning it off in an above post, although on XP you'd have to be using the classic Control Panel, I HATE the new CPL/Start Menu layout, for 4 year olds, by 4 year olds.

To change back to old Winders layout, go to the Control panel, top left select CLASSIC VIEW - then look for Start Menu and Taskbar (or Taskbar and Start Menu, I forget) and then look around for Classic View.
