I take creatine in the morning on an empty stomach. Before I work out and after I work out.

What am I doing wrong? Should I take it after I work out or not? Is it okay to mix it with protein? Last question. What is the best to take as far as type not brand?

I ask this even though Ive used it for about 2 years and there always seems to be a new person that says do it this way do it that way.
