Cols,OH. It sucks.
GNC's cheapest Creatine is $32 for 30 servings (5g). That's too expensive for me.

Is there a quality Creatine product (I hear it's supposed to be made from "Creapure" in it, allegedly) that is significantly cheaper?

I think I was on Bodybuilder.com when I saw some pill-version available that was only 5¢ per gram, but I was concerned that it may be an inferior product.

Any advice?

This
is what I use, works great.

any online retailer offers cheaper creatine than gnc. just look in the supplement company section within this forum to find a few.

Focus on COST PER UNIT, not price per bottle!

 Reproman - 4tabs twice daily = 8tabs. 240 tabs is therefor 30 days worth. Each serving is 3grams, so I'm getting 6grams daily for a monthly cost of $24.99 (or 180 grams for $24.99 = 13.8¢ per gram).

 Bludevil - I know. That's really why I was asking. I saw some for 5¢ a gram. At that price, 5g per day = 5x5¢+30days = $7.50/mo. Not bad at all, BUT... how good is it? There is apparently different quality creatine.

 Prince - OK. Same product as Reproman. but still $23/mo.

 ABCs - Fair enough. Same product again for even cheaper, but still $20/mo.

I'm wondering why people don't just use the cheapest Creatine on the market. Is there really that much of a difference in the quality (or usefulness) of the cheaper products?

1000 grams of ProLab Creatine is only $20 here (scroll halfway down the page & look for ProLab Creatine - It's in alphabetical order). That's only 2¢ per gram, or 2¢x5gx30days = $3.00 per month.

$3/mo sounds much better to me that $20+. Why not use that stuff!? Can the other stuff really be 7 times better. It's damned near 7 times the price afterall!

I take 4 caps on off days and 8 on workout days. The 20 bucks a month is well worth it to me because of the convenience factor. I don't have to mess with mixing powders and liquids, all I do is pop a few pills and I'm good to go.

Gary, what it really breaks down to is if you want the added ingredients in different brands. My CEE (Xceed from DS) is more than just a creatine. I pay alittle extra for it, but I like the extra effects pre-workout. If you don't care, then buy the cheapest stuff you can find and see how it works. It all comes down to what works best for you.

Muscle Gelz Transdermals
IronMag Labs Prohormones
I buy the 3lb container of mono from walmart for 19 bucks, probably not as good as some of the pricier stuff, but it gets the job done

I fucking HATE mixing shit. The only thing I will mix is protein shakes and such.

Pill form supplements are the best. With the cheaper products, you may not get as much bang for your buck.

When it comes to ANY supplementation..

Quality > Quantity per $

Grr!

I've taken Creatine for the past ten days (after a 5 day, 20g load) and I have no idea if it's making any difference to me at all. Every day I go to the gym I get stronger anyway. Last week I did 3 sets of chin-ups, 15, 12 (fail), 10 (fail). This week I did 3 sets; 15, 15, 12 (fail). Next week it'll be more. Soon I'll be strapping weights on myself and doing even more than that! How am I supposed to know if any of this is due to Creatine or not. Similarly, once more chemicals (ingredients?) are involved, how am I supposed to be able to identify which ingredient is causing what effect or whether I need any of the additional ingredients at all?

I find all this quite frustrating. I don't want to waste my time or money (especially not the money - my wife's lost 319lb [yes, I did say 319lb] since a gastric bypass surgery in May'05 and we need $23,000 for corrective skin surgeries - I don't have a penny that's considered "spare", ever!).

Thinking about all this $hit gets me down. Everyone says "Just see how it goes" but seriously, how do you know? Maybe I did more reps this week because I just got a good nights sleep the night before. Maybe it was the Creatine. Maybe not. Who can say? God knows, no-one seems to be able to give me an accurate body fat measure, let alone tell me which of numerous chemicals in a stack is actually doing anything.

Grr! :(

If you are pretty in-tune with your body, you'll know how different sups effect you. My creatine definitely gives me that pre-workouts boost that I so badly wanted. If you drop it and still get the same gains and intense workouts, then I guess you don't need it. It's all subjective IMO.

you're kidding right?

No, I read thta also, that you get small amounts of creatine from red meat, but not near the amount we get from, oh lets say, creatine CEE.

I think Creatine Mono is what I've been taking. They sell it at GNC. Would I be better off switching to CEE?

I got Healthtech brand Creatine Mono in the bright blue bottle from Ebay b4 for like $25 wit shipping but now I get it cheaper for $18.99 wit free shipping at Megabodybuilder.com, it works great and I cant find a better price, GNC is out my league for any supplements they suck :paddle:

Big G, First rule of thumb; Never EVER got to GNC. They suck and they do nothing but charge you ridiculous prices. They're kind of like the CellTech of retail outlets but sell kind of okay stuff. For protein, go to allthewhey.com and use either ironmag's creatine or theirs.
