I remember when buddy icons on AIM were the new, cool thing around 5 years ago. Some of them were ridiculously funny. I've never seen a site that has smilies though.

i have a ton n it's still not enough. if you google forum smilies you'll find a lot of good ones.
I have modified a couple but not from scratch.

I had a link somewhere on making them but it's lost now, try google.
I wish I could, I make random pictures and stuff, sort of like Mino does, I don't do animated one's though, I don't know Flash or any animated program(which may be used to make smilies as well...) I can do a fair share of things with Photoshop though
Try ulead gif animator, it's a breeze.
Now I know you have too much time on your hands!
Ulead saves me time. It has a low learning curve.
It really doesn't take that much time once you get used to it.
I've made custom icons for my computer themes....
I'm at work so I don't have access to the good one ,but here's one I did with the company logo for our POS program to match my black, gray, orange theme and "Bern Rude Awakening" wallpaper...well, let's see 'em.
I made it look like a button because I keep it right next to my Start button on my toolbar...
