Great movie! One of the best movies I have seen all year. I'm not a huge fan of Tom Hanks but he was great! The movie keeps your attention until the end. In case you haven't seen a preview, the movie is based on the Samalli pirates that captured the cargo ship a number of years ago, capturing the captain and trying to hold him for ransom. I would def go see it again.

It may be a good movie , but it is not historically correct by any means. The captain of that ship was anything but a hero and he endangered the crew of that ship by trying to save on fuel costs after repeated warnings of piracy in the area.
I usually avoid seeing new movies for the first two or three weeks of their run. Partly because of the crowds, which I despise, and also because the bulk (if not all) of the receipts go to the movie producers and the theaters getting what remains after the initial rush is over.
