This might be a stupid question, but besides washing ball caps in the dishwasher, what's another way to get them clean? I wear my favorite hat to the gym all the time and it really needs cleaning but I don't have a dishwasher and I'm scared to ruin it. Any suggestions? Would just handwashing it with cold water do? Thanks :)

-See a friend that HAS a dishwasher????:D
Sorry, that's a first I hear about the dishwasher for ball caps.
When my caps got to that point,I usually buy a new one...
I know,it's not the same...

...and that is NOT a stupid question.:)

I don't do baseball caps. I don't even play baseball. Just hand wash it in the sink and let it air dry.

Then what DO YOU DO!!!?
Oh,right... You ride!!!:thumb:

No Claudette it won't ruin it. Use Woolite and cold water Do not put in dryer. Air dry it.

You know me Dero,, I do "Giro Limited Edition Lone Star Pneumo" (Its a bike helmet to those in the dark). hahahahaha

u were a hat inside why?

She wears a hat in the gym for 2 reasons. 1. to keep her hair out of her face and 2. style. Gals look cute as hell in ball caps.

They have a contraption that you put the hat in to keep it's shape and wash it in the washing machine. Don't know where you can find one but some of those gadgett catalogs should have em. Hope that helps.

Fire - ditto on the gals in hats!

I've put my ball caps and jungle "boonie" hats in the washing machine with the rest of my clothes, then into the dryer....they always come out clean and still keep their shape...

Well there ya go young lady from a guy who actually wears and washes his hats. you can stick it in with your laundrey and should be fine.

I have a blue Red Sox hat that is starting to move on it's own. It's really nasty, but I still wear it all the time. The way I see it, the hat is just starting to break in. :)

Thanks guys. I actually hand washed it last night and it's still drying. Firestorm, that is exactly why I wear a hat. Also, just as with men, hats are used to cover up a bad hair day :)

Humm, bad hair day? I never had one of those. (and yes I have hair not bald).

Cluadette,, hey sugar,, take a pic of you in your cap and post it!!!! Wait till it drys though. hehehehehe

Bad hair days,I hate those!!!

Even a hat does not help!!!

Well I guess not Dero in your case. Your hair is longer then Rapunzel in the fairy tail. lmfao
