I have a query about how much in the way of BCAA's is needed - and probably other supplements too. I got a bottle of capsules a few weeks ago, with the recommended dosage being 2 capsules twice per day. Listed as having Leucine 250mg, isoleucine 125mg and valine 125mg. So all up 4 capsules per day gives 1 gram/500mg/500mg. Yet was having a look at the ingredients in the protein powder I have, and all 3 are listed in that too - at about 10 grams/7 grams/ 6 grams per 100 grams of powder. So what is the point in the capsules? I get triple the dose of the aminos in just one 30 gram serve of protein powder that I would get in the recommended doseage of capsules, plus the protein powder is heaps cheaper.
Am I understanding things correctly, or are the capsules more potent somehow, or more bioavaliable?
I have a similar query for tribulus too I think, seeing the powder online versus capsules the powdered stuff seems a lot stronger by doseage? (Think that was right, and not the other way around). What gives? And how much of each is really needed each day to see results?
