Good advice if he has a 150+ IQ and family money or a 4.0 and a full ride to his school of choice.Robert DiMaggio said:getting a degree based on what makes the most money is a bad idea IMO, get a degree in something that you like and have a passion for, getting paid to do something you love is much more important than money.
but if you want to make real $$$ get a medical degree and become a surgeon.![]()

Over 100 and all were smarter than 99.9% of the people who post here.Robert DiMaggio said:how many docs have you met... you're implying they are all smart?!
you can get student loans to pay for the college, and based on the money you will make as an MD paying them off should not be a big deal.

So i figured I would go for what makes the most money and do what i want to on my time off. I want to be able to provide for my family provide for my family and not have them go without because i'm chasing some silly dreams and passions. I don't see any sort of justification in going to school for 4yrs for something that isn't going to make you wealthy. I'm kinda shallow i know but money is what makes the realistic world go round.
I hated my job for 5yrs now and learned to seperate it from my other activities in life.

Robert DiMaggio said:then get an MBA, you cannot go wrong with that...you're not going to make a lot of money with any bachelors degree in this day and age, except maybe certain engineering degrees. so plan on at least 6-7 years of college.
as far as chasing silly dreams that is not what I was implying, I simply meant that you should study and work in a field that at least interests you otherwise your life is going to pretty much suck.
