Sure, we get the same twaddle here in RSA. The fact is that the majority of this sort of thing is written by journalists (naturally) who are usually (not all of course) an idle assortment of spherical couch potatoes and otherwise grumpy malcontents who want nothing more than score points by denigrating nutritional/sports supplements and bodybuilding lifestyles. They have been doing this for years. Rather than pick up a barbell they find it less stressful to wield an acerbic pen, condemning people who show some muscle as 'roid addicts, ignorant of the diet and exercise that creates it. Supplements are berated - on one day they don't work, the next, they contain toxins or steroids. Much of it is just plain silliness thinly disguised as "concern for our children". Sadly they mould public opinion. The main thing is to respond firmly, with a solid background of facts whenever we get the chance.
