Buffet Gives Away Billions

Muscle Gelz Transdermals

He believes that the gates run there charity well and know what they are doing. Buffet enjoys picking stocks and making money so basicly he said he he'll stick to what he does best and they know best how to run a charity.

No doubt man. I don't understand why he doesn't give/use it as he sees fit personally. That would be the joy of it...

Bill Gate is giving up the leadership of microsoft, and stepping aside. he is going to be spending his time worling on his philanthropy foundation. I guess Buffet just figure that if bill was going to be doing that anyway, why not have bill use his money too, and just enjoy retirement!

Why do some of you view making money as a crime?
Think of it like this. Their hobby and passion in life was to be the best they could be at making money just like it is the goal of almost every person on this board to be physically fit. Lots of people think we are nuts, conceded, and narcissistic for pushing our bodies so far passed the norm.
It just seems that whether its money, beauty, intelligence, or what the fuck ever else....people get jealous.
One person's goal is no better than someone else???s. I don't see where Gates or Buffet flaunt their money in other people's faces. They were shrud businessmen. They were the best at what they did. They never fucked over their employees, or their stock holders. Bill may use some pretty hardcore tactics to kick the shit out of his competition, but he is out in the open about it.
Bill Gates is the kind of guy who will serve you a shit sandwich and then ask you how you like it in front of everyone. That is one of the things I always liked about him.
I would trust Gates with my money over my own friends. My friends are all lazy fucks who would spend the money on wheels for their cars and Plasma screen TV's. I would rather give my money to Bill in hopes that he would put the money to good use.

Bastards...

He was going to donate those funds after he died, but decided to do it while still alive.

Funny how you are villified when doing a good deed.

I remember a few years ago in high school, one of my teachers had a poster of Bill Gates and his "10 rules on how to be successful". The 10th rule said, "Never make fun of nerds, chances are, you will end up working for one". I got a chuckle out of that one.

Yeah its amazing how everyone despises people who pass their money for generation to generation and the biggest guy against it is Warren Buffet. He is strongly in favor of estate tax and said "A very rich person should leave his kids enough to do anything but not enough to do nothing.". Yet when he donates all his money away he's "paying for his sins"

It is too bad that in our society we worship wealth like this, how about they write about a middle class guy who gives 80% of his wealth away???? Well in America who gives a shit about that story......very sad.

Also when a person ammasses that kind of money 9 times out of 10 that person or his family did it through criminal activities ( no I am not talking about the mob) and the exploitation of the middle and lower class...

I understand exactly what you are saying, even if the others don't.

A person who did that would truly be a saint.

No, they'd truly be a jackass... If you have much to give, give much! If you have little to give, give accordingly...

I respect people who work hard and are innovative instead of people who blame there problems on there "exploitation" by rich people are typically envious of their successes in life.

I agree with that, but you have to see my point too.

My thoughts exactly... Not sure it applies here however, but that's very true IMO. 9 out of 10 have been very shady along the way.

Who said that? General Patton?

Some people are jackasses:confused: Of course I see your point, but like Foreman said earlier, that's like trying to earn your way into heaven... Or just extremely stupid!

So do I and that makes up less than 5% of the Billionares. I bet you think Henry Ford was a good guy also.

I understand Foreman's point. The guy gave away billions, but he's still a billionaire. No sweat off his back. It's not going to change his lifestyle at all.

At the same time, I admire the man for giving away that much money. Most people who have that kind of wealth don't do anything nearly so generous. Yeah, sure, a lot of them give to charities so they can feel better about themselves, but this was pretty noble even if he does have billions remaining.

Think of the potential ramifications of this gesture. This one event could possibly be responsible for saving hundreds of thousands if not millions of lives.

How can you not admire that? :hmmm:

its going to be 7 billion dollars a year, but he has a clause that the entire 7 billion has to be completely spend each year so they can't sit on the cash

Aside from antisemitic comments, I think his 5 dollars a day and production strategies were amazing. While you may attack his little "sociology department" he created stablity in his company. I would like people to watch over my workers if a fair amount were criminals. Also the same thing takes place in corparations today
