i've been taking in about 1500 mg daily but my doctor said thats what caused my kidney stone i had last month man did that hurt so i was just wandering how much was to much thanks guys.
Sorry to hear that, man. I thought our body will flush the excess calcium with the urine. After reading the posts of fellow posters, it looks like weight lifters should take more calcium than average people. I have been taking only 1000 mg tabs/day, but now I thinking about taking around 2000 of tabs a day.
Too much calcium especially from caps will greatly increase the chance of stones.
Too much calcium in general is just bad, like anything else. I had a cousin that died due to kidney failure. He would drink like a gallon of milk or more a day.
