A DEVASTATED pet lover has warned that a sick predator could be at large after her cat was abducted and sexually assaulted.
We've already told you how the woman's beloved tabby cat Daisy was dumped outside Teckels Animal Sanctuary in Toowoomba, just yards from where her owner works.
She suffered a fractured skull, broken teeth, had lost half her bodyweight in blood.
But it has now been revealed that the moggy was also been sexually abused.
Her owner, who has asked to remain anonymous because she fears for her safety, said: "It really upset me. To hurt her like that and then dump her is just so disgusting.
"It's really made me think, what if it happened to me, or my dog, or a child? There is clearly someone around who is sick, and they need to be caught."
Daisy went missing from her home on Monday, putting her worried owner through hours of worry and heartache.
Her owner said: "I went to bed at around 9.40pm and she was out, which isn't unusual for this time of year.
"In the morning I called and I called, and I went up the road looking for her body. Eventually I phoned Teckels.
"I know them in there, and initially they were reluctant to tell me what had happened because it was so awful."
Daisy's vet Richard Kirby, from Armstrong Mobile Vets near Berkeley, said: "She had a fractured skull, she's missing teeth and she's got a dislocated tail, due to something we would normally call a 'pull-wound'.
"Then we get to the gruesome part. She's been very very badly bruised, and was torn internally.
"I have never seen anything this horrible."
Inspector Tony Jones from the local policing team, said: "This was a truly hideous crime and it's hard to comprehend why someone would want to do such a terrible thing."
"We have our leads, and suspect convicted pedophile Aaron S" Police confirmed that the cat was found with baby wipes, which had DNA traces, and traces of bodybuilding supplements.
Anyone with information about the offence is urged to contact the police on 0845 090 1234 quoting incident number 483 of April 15.
