When Roger Clemens pitches Saturday night for the Sugar Land Skeeters it will be the first time the 50-year-old has taken the mound in almost five years. (Aug. 21)

I'm not sure what to think about the rocket coming back? Yankees are my team, but not sure he still has that "gas can" to burn the place down?

If he doesn't throw well in AAA--then there's no way he's coming back to the MLB:coffee:

Maybe, lets see if his body feels like playing. Regardless, aging isn't a choice, he will have to move on eventually whether he feels like it or not.

I was extremely suprised to see this in the news. Not expected at all. Im sure this would probably make him the oldest to play in the majors. Julio Franco, I believe, was 48 or so in his last year.

"fastball clocked at 88 mph"

Thats still harder than Maddux was throwing at the end of his career, but then again Maddux was a finesse pitcher. We'll see if Roger can accomadate as he's gonna have to come up with new ways to get hitters out. Not that he was always all "blow it by ya and no finesse" but his mid to high 90's heater was capable of doing that. Not anymore. Still 88mph at 50 years old.....not bad.

This clown needs to move on, leave baseball alone.
