what kinda places do those things. When i do a search all it has is home
kits that takes like a week and I don't want to be hanging out in the bathroom
for that long. I can't seem to find jackshit as far clinics and pricing. If ya'll
could help me out. morehead city, nc is where i live but yet no listings or
anywhere near me for that matter.

I know these places have to be more common than what i have been finding
online.

Just curious....

What on earth prompts ANYONE to go get a colon cleansing if not ordered by a doctor to do so?

What benifits does one gain from this procedure?

Look for a full detox program. Don't bother with just a colon cleanse. You can find them at any health food store.

usutally when I shower my colon washs off.

how does it work, do you have to be near a bathroom all day for like a week
straight or something?

No, but you will go to the bathroom a bit more.

Hi Joe,

I am not sure why you are asking this.

The Colon needs to be cleansed before you have any medical procedures done here. Before you visit a Urologist for a Colon Examination he will have you take a Fleet (brand) Enema to cleanse this area usually the night before (and you can not eat anything after midnight the night before). This allows a good view of the Colon and also helps prevent infection from the procedure.

You DO NOT want to cleanse the Colon very often as it is NOT good (if I remember right) to do this - in fact it can cause you real problems by doing this too often. The Colon is supposed to have a certain amount of bacteria naturally to do its job. Being TOO clean is not GOOD.

Check with a Urologist to be sure. They will be able to tell you what to do and where if this is something you are medically required to do.

Take Care, John H.

I've done this quite a few times. Don't remember what's it called but it involves drinking 7-8 glasses of salt water and doing 4 types of excersises between each glass. The whole procedure takes 30 min, plus a few trips to the loo afterwards. Google "saltwater cleansing" or something similar for the name

Ex-Lax and Laxatives are rather hard on your system and should not be used unless required, but not for a simple cleansing. As far as a salt water cleanse goes...that amount of salt in your body is surely unhealthy so from another point of view it's more like poisoning your body and forcing it to filter out all that salt. Again not a very healthy approach. See a nutritionist, dietitian, or fitness trainer. Do not take a sleuth of "natural health products" as they are not all good for you: remember that drugs and alcohol are natural products too and we can all see the effect that those natural products have on people.
