How do we know he can still play? I mean he's coming back from injury.

Hope he is able to come back if he wants and have a few more good years. I don't really care where he goes, but most of all I hope he is able to avoid getting permanently injured. if he retired today, he's had a great career.

True, but that's a risk every QB in the league takes every Sunday during the season.

Not saying you can't cut him but you still take a cap hit and get nothing in return.

I think they could def get a 3rd or maybe a 2nd for schaub. He's good and the other teams looking for a QB might not want to wait a year to get a good QB. He's a top 10-12 QB and teams will give up a lot for that.

Teams are gonna go crazy for Matt Flynn and he has started 2 games , schaub is proven.

NFL contracts are not fully guaranteed. If he gets cut he counts as nothing against the cap as most guaranteed money is paid in the first 2-3 years of a contract.

No way they get a 2nd for him. With the rookie wage scale being implemented, it's easier to take a QB with the number one pick overall and pay him 5M on average annually over 3-4 years. You have a younger QB and a better cap number, AND more money to spend elsewhere.

Nobody is really even talking about Flynn and we're two days into the free agency period, kind of weird......but I guess teams are being careful.
