I decided to reinstall Windows XP (Home edition) because my computer has been running slow lately. Anyways, the sound will not work. When I try to play a CD, it says I do not have an audio device installed on my computer. Do I need to download some kind of software from Microsoft to make my audio work?

drivers sweet heart. you wanna get on my body ?

Have you found the drivers? Is this a manf build computer or a personal built one? If you have any issues let me know, ill help locate, just post model number of Mobo, or tower.

Sorry i had to

That shit is funny

If it's an OEM disk the drivers should have come on either on the OS disk or on a separate disk usually labeled Drivers and Utilities or something similar....

You can also go out to the manufacturers website and download the latest drivers. Restore CD should have them too.
