How is this even avoidable?
As stated in the original study, these combinations happen in nature through our diet... I really don't think that supplementing a few more grams is going to make a significant difference.
Not to mention, this was all said about a rat... While it's a great model for the human body, it's not perfect and not absolute. If we are eating these compounds and having this interaction occur naturally I would really have faith in the human bodies ability to handle these things and filter them from the body, which can also be aided with liver support supplements and taking in high orac value foods and supps with great anti oxidant properties.
I personally have yet to try any creatine nitrate products. Will I? Yes.
I already take in copious amounts of creatine between my whole food protein sources and monohydrate supplementation. Nitrates are abundant in all food sources. This interaction is going to occur regardless.....
Really, the long term effects that all these steroids and research chemicals I'm taking is whats got me worried, not a supplement. Is this still going to stop me? No.
Moderation and cycling is key folks. Don't let A.R. Spook you.
