Ode to the Curl Jock
I see them standing on the other side of the gym
Balancing a bar, weight stacked to the rim
Shouting and grunting, eyes bulging out
Staring in the mirror, without a shadow of a doubt
Doing reps of only four or five
Slamming on plates, yes we know you???re alive
In the corner is their arsenal of straps, gloves and chalk
Their routine is a joke; I do legs when I walk
Always acting like they???re the king shit
Don???t ask to work in or they???ll throw a big fit
Nobody respects or understands my niche
I train for one reason, to look good at the beach
They???re there everyday, taking my space
Throwing around compliments, like hotshot and ace
And when they???re finished with my rack, I watch them waddle away
Now finally, finally I can curl all day.
So stand back and watch as I put on a show
I???ll prove that hours on end is how to make your arms grow
And despite what you???ve read, studied and taught
There???s only one true athlete, we???re called the curl jock
