I noticed that my eyes get very tired from long-term work at the computer and recently my vision has become worse. But I cannot reduce the amount of time spent behind the screen. I've heard that there are special glasses designed for people who work a lot in front of the monitor. Has anyone got something like those or heard anything? Does this thing work?

How old are you? As we age, our eyes gradually lose the ability to change focus immediately, so if you focus on a screen that's 12-24" away that is where your focus is best. when you look away from the screen, the focal point or distance changes and your eyes take time to adjust. I'm 68 almost 69 and I noticed this starting about 10 years ago, it got worse for about 5 years and since then has stabilized. By worse, I mean it took longer to refocus. If you're under 40 it could be something else, I'm just guessing you're experiencing the same thing I have.

I also have the same problem.
the only remedy is to disconnect.
unplug whenever you can, even for just 5 minutes.

I have seen a nice change from when I was in the office 8 hours in front of the PC to now that I am at home.

eye drops and relaxing glasses do not hurt, but if you want a real change, as mentioned, there are no alternatives: disconnect from the pc every possible moment

Just to tell you that I do the eye exam every year and in 2020 compared to 2019 I earned a diopter just for not looking at pc and mobile all the time.
In the evening I saw everything out of place and I even struggled to stay behind the wheel because the lights and traffic lights were shapeless balls.
now it's all gone and I see much better.

A further note to make also to the diet.
Eat healthy and keep your blood pressure under control, this also affects vision a lot

This is clearly not age-related, in addition to fatigue, the clarity of vision has decreased. And it doesn't recover after taking a break from the computer. Now this is not critical, but I think that if I do not take any action, it can only get worse.?

Thank you for such a detailed answer.

I have heard that long term computer use can lead to vision issues. I had Lasik done about 10 years ago but now due to age I am losing my close up vision.
