The stock market staged a huge rally after investors got the aggressive economic help they wanted from the Federal Reserve. The Dow Jones industrial average finished up more than 200 points. (Sept. 13)
 


I'd like to 'invest' some of my FOOD STAMPS in the Stock Market....:winkfinger:
 
Economists were not universally positive on the move -- Capital Economics economist Paul Ashworth told AP, "We doubt it will be enough to get the economy on the right track," and MFR's Joshua Shapiro called it "basically a market/political sideshow"

But of course real unemployment stays stuck at historic high levels. Consuming more and more jelly donuts isn't giving us more energy, its just making us sick. Of course, gold, oil and stocks all moved higher on the announcement. Those assets have in common that they are related to tangible goods whose value stays constant while the value of money falls.

when QE3 doesn't work, which country will we invade for QE4? I'm thinking Libya, but could easily be Iran.
