I have been thinking about training people as kind of a side job and was woundering how to go about finding a gym to train at because i know the big ones wont let people train there because of the fear of losing their clients.

Bally's I believe lets you train people there.

no they don't. Unless something has changed.

Do a search for small private training studios in your area. they will usually make you pay either a monthy fee or a fee for everytime you train someone. To make it worth it, you really need to have a pretty decent client list.

don't you need to be certified?

i'm guessing at 19 you wouldn't have any of those and even if you're great at it you could be in serious hot water if the person you are training decides to blame you for an injury.

you can get certified at the age of 18. Purchase insurance from the organization that certified you and then go to the American Heart and Lung Association and get a CPR certification.

i am actually nationally certified through two organizations, and am CPR certified.....i have trained at 24 hour fitness for one year and am currently at another gym training.

How much does the insurance usually cost? i found one that is 178. does that sound reasonable?

They have personal trainers there. They take a percentage out of what you make I believe.

Heavily agree with this point man, and watch out if you try going to a gym and training others while there are trainers around, your ass will be kicked out pretty quick.

Get certed, CPR'd and go looking for a job man, it's a good thing if you have the right credentials and mindset.
