One of President Trump's former advisers from his presidential campaign has pleaded guilty to lying to FBI agents investigating allegations of collusion between the Trump presidential campaign and the Russian government, the Department of Justice (DOJ) said Monday.

George Papadopolous, the 30-year-old foreign policy adviser, pleaded guilty earlier this month, according to court filings unsealed on Monday. The DOJ unsealed the documents shortly after it announced charges against two other higher-ranking, Trump campaign officials - Paul Manafort and Rick Gates.

Prosecutors charged Papadopolous with lying to investigators about his conversations with a foreign professor who told him that Russians had thousands of emails containing "dirt" on Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

You never know; but in a situation like this; usually the special counsel fires his biggest guns at the start. If this is all he's got it is a very weak case. There is nothing about any of this that has anything to do with Russia or Trump or collusion; it is a total bust for the Dems.

What is even more aggravating is to have this dog an pony show going on at our expense; there is no crime being investigated as is required; how this got started is in and of it's self a crime. Having an investigator digging into peoples lives with no crime being investigated is not how our justice system is supposed to work. The first thing is that there must be a crime to investigate; there was no crime reported or listed. The whole investigation is bogus and should be stopped immediately. This is a total political witch hunt.. perpetrated by the DNC, Hillary and Obama.

There is one good thing coming from this mess and that is that the real criminals are being exposed; those would be the DNC, Hillary and Obama.
