Greetings forum members.
I joined the forum because it's the first listing in natural search results on google for "weight training forums" and because I am interested in discussing training/diet issues with others who have similar goals.
I just got back in the game after letting myself balloon up to 222 lbs at 5'10. while i can carry that weight OK and not appear FAT - I feel fat and that's enough to spark change.
I am in my 7th week of a 12 week blitz to get my weight training life back on track. So far, I have trimmed about 10 lbs, sitting at about 212 as of today's weigh-in.
I run mondays and thursdays (4 miles) and lift heavy tuesdays and fridays with rest on wednesday and some cross-training on weekends. I am eating a very high protein diet and limiting carbs to try to suck some of this 'useless' weight off. It's not as easy as it was in my teens and 20's (I'm 34 now)
So, there ya go - that's me - I hope to be active in the forums as I really want to be gung ho about my personal fitness again. Makes me happier, healthier and wiser....
