Help. Question about breaking ampoule for for preparing HCG vial

I've never used an ampoule before. Should I just crack the top then put on 1cc of bac water in it then draw that back into the syringe to put into the sterile empty vial I have. After this I was going to proceed as usual by injecting another 4cc of bac water into the vial. I'm just a little unsure because I've only used vials in the past and never an ampoule. Thanks in advance

Yea that works. You can also score the neck with a knife to make it break cleaner.
