I've been enjoying reading the various posts and would like to say Hi!
A little about myself, I've been weight training since I was about 16 (am now 24) I'm around 6'1, 238-240lbs
My main hurdle the last few years has been consistency which I am hoping to finally nail this year. (I've had/have ongoing problems with my knees, osteochronditis)
I've been using a good 12 Week Program I came across on the net to get myself back into a rhythm of which i'm into the 4th week of now and I'm starting to see some progress.
My main goal is muscle separation/definition as I'm pretty happy with where I am now in terms of width.
I'm using 5g of Creatine pre-workout and a good BCAA mixed with about 5g Glutamine post workout. I also take Vitamin C supplements every day and eat 4-5 meals a day incorporating as much protein as possible.
Obviously as I have'nt posted my routine yet it would be hard to critique, but any suggestions as to my supplementation/ best method(s) for muscle separation/definition would be greatly appreciated

Cheers

How's it going du510!

For my osteochronditis (right knee) I'm just recently started taking Glucosamine with Chondroitin supplements. Last March I had an arthroscopy where my surgeon debrided and cleaned up my knee, which has really helped, however I am supposed to be having an osteochrondral Graft sometime this year.

Would you or anyone else in a similar situation recommend Glucosamine? I've read quite a bit about this supplement but it would be great to know if anyone has first hand knowledge.

Cheers

Personally, I have reiters syndrome, a type of reactive arthritis. A little different, but similar at the same time. I take glucosamine/chondritin pretty often, but I also take sulfasalizine. Its a perscription drug, and it works well. But, the MSM is close in substance. Might be worth a look.

That's very helpful, thanks mate.

Are you able to perform squats and deadlifts? I find that after doing these exercises my knees are quite sore. Can you suggest other compound exercises to replace these? or methods to reduce stress on the Knees.?

Yea I do. I havent done DL's in years, but not bc of my knees. My hips are bad, and some toe joints are bad, but my knees and ankles are fine.

Since I dont know much about the actual type of pain youre having, all I can suggest is to try various leg lifts. Like leg press, hack squat, lunges, leg extensions and curls. Just try them out and see what works for you.

Greetings and Salutations!!!!
