Hockey fans?

Anybody else heard there might not be an NHL season this year? Someone PLEASE tell me this isn't true.

Doesn't look like it. Unless you consider the WHA a league. The Players will be locked out next week and the owners aren't going to budge until they get there Salary Cap. I would be suprised if it doesn't last a couple years. However there is talks about the NHL Folding and Starting up a new league in January with a new name except the Same oweners, with the Collective barginning argeement they want.

Guess will have to wait and See

I agree with IainDaniel, unless the players cave in quickly, there will be a long, long strike/lockout. The owners are dead serious.

No hockey for a while.

It is a very sad to to think the NHL will be no longer, but it has pretty much become inevitable...
