How high will Gas prices go?

Stop bloody bitching about your petrol prices, here it's now $8.20 a US Gallon. Get out and buy some damned economical cars(if they are available.....). Even my 9 year old wreck does 50mpg+ .New cars do around 70mpg.

I'm getting a real kick from watching those bloody arseholes around here who drive big 4x4's, getting fleeced. Loads of those monstrosities for sale second hand

I'm not against it being on the high side, stops people treating the stuff like infinite piss.

Anyway I'll just grin and suffer.....

The French will no doubt be on the streets about it shortly (again). Keeps them fit I say.

I'm with you on this one, the single guys who drive F350's around deserve what they get but they just don't have the great economical cars over here that they do there. The hybrids where you and precisely nobody else can fit into are 67mpg and from a ecological perspective they are good until you have to dispose the battery which is horrible for the environment.

Oh and the DUBBED out escalades I laugh at too.

mine is considered a good suv at 34mpg.

34mpg? I had a 1973 VW beetle(bug) back in 1984 that had that sort of consumption!

I'm not talking hybrids, just normal petrol or diesel cars presently in production. Problem with hybrids is where is the electricity coming from? From a natural gas fired power station (the most http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=e...resnum=0&ct=result&cd=1&q=inefficient&spell=1ineffecient way of using gas) or from nuclear?(who's going to pay to clean up the waste?) There's no need for clever half electric powered cars, just buy a small efficient car, with say like a 1 litre engine-especially suited for town use.....

And all this crap about 'bio-diesel' which is becoming all the rage, where the hell is all the maize going to be grown to feed the cars?What about the humans?

$3.19 for 93octane in NC, i don't fully understand why the prices went so high in the first place. i did however hear about the CEO of exon getting a 400million dollar and free private jet retirement package. I wonder if they put salary caps on some of these poeple if it would help lower the prices.
