My name is Packard and I've been lifting since I'm 15, but only seriously since I'm 18. That comes to 42 years of continuous (mostly) lifting.
I train 4 times a week, but pretty light lately.
I have arthritis, but my doctor says, "Do as much as you can for as long as you can." So I pretty much just keep plodding along.
I can provide a good historical perspective on lifting, and most of what I learned I got the hard way--by trying out different ways of training. The literature on the subject was not very good.
Good to be here.
Regards,
Packard
