Hey everybody, I am 6'2 at 255 and 36 years old and I picked up my first weights about 2 1/2 years ago. I wasn't a jock by no means, I started smoking cigarettes when I was 16, and shortly there after started drinking and doing drugs. That behavior continued for about 16 years, Then my boy was born when I was 32 and I quit it all. About a year later I started lifting and reading M.D. magazine.
I lifted and lifted and lifted and was losing weight but I wasn't getting bigger, just a little stronger. In the articles it always put emphasis on eating and eating often. Well I finally started eating right about 4 months ago and guess what, I started growing. I believe all those years of partying took a toll on my body and that contrubuted to my slow progress.
Now I am finally starting to grow and get stronger.
