That whole fight, Liddell kept getting tagged with some wild overhand rights from Rampage.
Chuck said he wants to fight him again, and the Liddell now will probably beat Rampage due to his out-of-control style, which hasn't changed since then. I think Chuck would pummel Rampage now because of the way he wrecklessly comes in to throw that crap. Once Liddell was on his back, it was over...same way it's gonna be when Tito puts him on his back in December.

As much as I dislike Chuck Liddell and like Tito, I still don't think Tito will be able to take him down. Chuck by KO.
rampage owned chuck that entire fight. if that was UFC, big john woulda jumped in right away, thats why i like pride so much better, they let them go.

Tito always talks shit on everybody. Look at all the shit he talked on frank shamrock saying he was way over rated, his moves suck and they were slow. And Tito ended up getting man handled the whole fight before the fight was stopped because of total owanage by frank. Chuck will destroy him.

Tito is has gotten much better so he certainly has a chance. He will probably give chuck a good match. However I think Chuck has to be the favorite.
I don't think Tito has a chance. IMO Babalu was Chuck's best competition, and we saw what happened there. Maybe it's time he gave Pride another shot, but I don't think that'll turn out good.

hey, anyone see that post fight of chuck and babalu, that interview where only chuck and dana white showed up? what was that about, they we're saying chuck was suppose to fight someone from Pride, but Pride is purely talking shit, and doesn't want to set it up.
It was a publicity stunt. Wand who recently got KTFO'd by cro cop was supposed to fight Chuck. That being said, I think wand could still KTFO Chuck.

Babalu is so overrated it's not even funny, just like most Pride fighters. He hasn't beaten anyone.As for Silva, he's been beaten by everyone including Ortiz and Belfort. Good thing he isn't fighting Chuck this year...he would have come out of that fight even uglier.

Although liddell owned babalu, babalu is not overrated. His record prior to that fight is pretty impressive.

So your a pride fan huh. I havn't watched much of it, but is there a difference between it and the UFC? different rules and such? There's been alot of it on TV lately, gonna start watchin some fights...see how they compare to UFC.

It's definitely different! If the fighters get close to the ropes, they move they replace them in the middle of the ring in whatever position they were in. It's about as gay as can be and it happens all the time.
They also allow fighters to get pounded way too long when they have no chance.
Quite a few of the Pride fighters are UFC has-beens...prior submission and knockout victims from the better quality UFC fighters.

Against whom? The most impressive win he has is against Jeremy Horn. He lost to Randelman, Liddell x 2, Valentijn Overeem (23-20 record), Dan Henderson, and Emelianenko. He can't beat quality opponents and even lost to a guy with a 23-20 record. He's not just overrated...he's pathetically overrated.
OK typically I'm on the UFC side of these discussions, but I feel the need to step in. How big is Babalu?? Henderson, Emelienenko, and Randelman are bonafide heavyweights. Not to mention Fedor is quite possibly the most dominant fighter to ever step in a MMA ring, so saying he's overrated because he lost to these guys is completely unfair. Was he a little over-hyped because it was the UFC and he was fighting Chuck? Yes. But Babalu is a quality fighter, and I know you will see him again somewhere.

Ortiz didn't get stupid, he got winded... that's why he became the cardio maniac that he is now.
As for Babalu, highly overrated? You seem to be a more a UFC fan, and Babalu has dominated his competition in the UFC, with the exception of Chuck. I would love to see an Ortiz v. Babalu fight, I think we would learn a lot about both fighters.
And I hate to agree with Bigdyl, but I think Silva would take Liddell. He is a much improved fighter Since those losses to Ortiz & Belfort.

He can't beat good fighters.
Pride doesn't have as high quality fighters as the UFC.
We could disagree on who is better and who is overrated forever and still not settle anything. But, numbers don't lie.
Silva just got killed! If that's how much he's improved, I'm not impressed. Chuck would own him.
