Ok... so ive picked my show and am looking at the weekend of August 15 (and a second show Sept 27th)... the first is figure, but has a 90 sec individual posing round.... got music picked out... a nice classical acoustic guitar number (Dee by Randy Rhoads ) that should provide a nice flow from one pose to the other, as well as some decent pausing points.

My prob... what to do, how to choreograph this routine.

Any advice for me... surely "find a posing coach" might be the first thing to do... but in general... any hints that might lead me in the right direction. any poses I should *definately* include?

The show I'm doing is the ABA's Lone Star State Natural BB/Figure/Fitness... ill be doing figure (unless i can buff up enough for BB... but either way i'll have a free posing round) Second show is an NPC show... will figure out what division to compete in closer to that time.

And... the figure guidelines say "no more than 90 secs" my song is 50 secs... will it hurt me to not do the full 90 secs? My bro-in-law has a recording studio, and since it's acoustic guitar I think we can seamlessly loop someparts to boost the overall time of the song if need be.

So... any help, hints and advice welcome.

I've competed in the ABA, and if they haven't changed things, and I have no idea as to the figure division, but I thought it was in the "rules"... For BB you had a choice of "Start on Stage" or "Walking Out" to your music....I believe the rule was 60 to 90 seconds, so you will most likely have to add some time :D

Yes, find a posing coach :D

Thanks DP... just rechecked the site and it says "no more than 90 secs" for sure... no minimum time listed for BB or figure.... guess I'll clarify later or just say to hell with it and extend the song up there anyways.

Ok... I knew that a coach was the best advice...

Thanks!
