injection lump

I have used an alternating glute injection site pattern for years but within the last two weeks one of the shots I administered has left me with a large sore lump in my left glute. Anyone experienced this before and have any idea how to get rid of it? I've tried massaging it out but this knot is persistent and it concerns me. I'm leary about trying to lance it but would try if I thought it would work. There's only a little soreness and swelling, it only bothers me if it gets pressed on but it is noticeable when looking side to side and doesn't seem to be going away.

sounds like where in similiar boats, i deff wouldnt lance it. Hit me with a PM with whos gear it was, sounds like there might have been some dirty gear goen round

Look for signs of infection. Lumps usally resolve themselves if not infected.
