Joe Rogan is ruthless in his critique of the Men’s Physique division.
Men’s Physique can’t seem to get a break. For anyone who follows competitive bodybuilding it’s a well known fact that the Men’s Physique division has gotten flack in the past. It may be unwarranted flack, but it’s flack all the same.
For whatever reason many people attempt to look down on Men’s Physique competitors. It’s clear that every athlete who competes in the division have solid physiques. They’re all shredded and have packed on quality muscle to their frame. But despite that they still get criticized by certain segments of the bodybuilding fandom.
Even Joe Rogan looks to have ridiculed the Men’s Physique division.
In a recent episode of his podcast it appears as if Joe Rogan discovered the Men’s Physique division for the first time. He and his guest Michael Malice both discuss the division in the episode with Rogan trashing the division in the process. When the question of criteria for what body parts are shown came up, Joe Rogan held nothing back.
“THEY DON’T SHOW THE QUADS BECAUSE THEY’RE IN THE BOARD SHORTS,” MALICE NOTED.
“WHAT? WAIT A MINUTE, WHAT IS THIS NONSENSE? WAIT A MINUTE, THEY DON’T SHOW THEIR F—KING QUADS, THEY WEAR BOARD SHORTS?” RESPONDED ROGAN.
“THIS IS REAL? WHAT IS GOING ON? WHY ARE THEY WEARING BOARD SHORTS? WHAT THE F—K IS THAT? THAT IS SO STRANGE. THE STAGE OUTFIT IS (BOARD SHORTS)? IT IS HILARIOUS.”
