I started taking STOKED! by Anabolic Innovations last Wednesday. Each day, I take two pills in the morning near lunchtime, and then I take two pills a few hours before bed. It works out to be close to one serving every 12 hours.

Some background information about me and what I hope to accomplish in the next few months...
I am 22 years old, 6â??????1â??? and about 185 pounds, work an 8-5, and am not new to the bodybuilding. I eat mainly clean on the most part and have kept up with working out sporadically, even though Iâ??????ve really been enjoying life over the past year or so. I have been mostly maintaining my weight over these past few years, though from about September 2007 - March 2008, I had gained a reasonable amount of bodyfat due a ridiculous school and work schedule combined with excessive drinking. For this reason, I have been planning a cut whenever it got warmer out (which is recently).

I got back on track mid-March, watching my diet a little more closely (though not as obsessively as I had before) and beginning weights and cardio after a three month layoff. I was a little under 195 then, and have cut down to about 185 with little effort. I donâ??????t feel I have much bodyfat to lose, but I am thinking around 10 pounds (I wouldnâ??????t be surprised if it were a bit more).

I do consider myself to have a few bad habits. The first is that I am unwilling to sacrifice the occasional heavy drinking night, though I generally have been keeping this down to meaningful celebrations only. I also do not get much sleep regularly. Another setback is that I canâ??????t really eat the way I want to during the week due to work. There are a few reasons for this, but I will not go into it now.

I consider myself a pretty tough critic as far as supplements go. I donâ??????t attribute any of my success to any supplement I have used in the past. I had made great strides without any supplement use, and have continued to do very well with minimal supplement usage. I have found that diet really determines my success in bodybuilding.

Supplements I have used in the past:
- Whey protein
- Creatine Monohydrate
- Fish Oil caps
- Opti-Men Multi-Vitamins
- EC / ECA stack
- Creatine Ethyl Ester
- MAN Clout
- BCAAs

I disliked four of the supplements above so much that I just stopped using them and had never finished my supply (these were Creatine Monohydrate, the EC/ECA stack, CEE, and BCAAs).

Currently I am using:
- Whey protein
- Opti-Men Multi-Vitamins
- Fish Oil caps
- Stoked!

The only cardio I have been doing for the past two months is biking on a stationary bike, though I plan to add in HIIT (running) very soon.

My workout split looks as follows:
- Chest, Triceps, Anterior and Lateral Delts
- Back (and hams), Biceps
- Legs
(abs are typically done with legs)

Last Week: The Beginning of STOKED!

Wednesday, May 7, 2008 - This was my first day using Stoked!. I took two pills in the late morning, and two pills at night. I had done a very aggressive back and abs workout the night before. Instead of doing legs today, I decided I would bike for half an hour. Relatively good workout, but I donâ??????t feel the Stoked! had kicked in at all yet.

Thursday, May 8, 2008 - Second day using Stoked!. I had previously read that Stoked! had improved concentration and mood in general. When I had read this, I truly felt â?????bullshit,â??? but to my surprise, Thursday felt great. The only reason I remember this is because I only got about five hours of sleep that night and expected to lag at work. I felt tonight would be a good night for legs.

A good indicator of how good a workout is going to be is usually how I feel when first loading on those plates. Well, by the time I had gotten to the gym, I wasnâ??????t feeling it. I felt kind of slow and tired while loading up the plates onto the squat bar. I had eaten a proper pre-workout meal, and diet was in check that day, so it may have been the lack of sleep the previous night.

As I was squatting, I felt joint pain in my legs for the first time in a while when doing squats. It seriously surprised the hell out of me. I am thinking it may have something to do with the biking Wednesday night, but itâ??????s really hard to say given I donâ??????t generally get joint pain in my knees. However, I did notice an increase in weight, though due to the joint pain, I was reluctant to push myself much further. Overall, a good workout, though again, the joint pain really caught me by surprise.

Friday, May 9, 2008 - Took Stoked! only once today (with lunch), due to weekend plans immediately following the end of work. A handful of my closest friends were graduating on Saturday, and I had made plans to visit (two hour drive) for the weekend from Friday thru Sunday morning. This led to a three day binge of alcohol and junk food (pizza for three meals, McDonalds for one, Wendyâ??????s, Jimmy Johns for three; basically no home cooking). In addition, absolutely terrible sleeping pattern for the weekend (went to bed at 6 or 6:30am, woke up at 9-10am). No workouts this weekend.

Today!

Monday, May 12, 2008 - Got back into routine with a flawless diet today, and am back on Stoked!. Today was Chest, Triceps, and Delts (anterior and lateral). Power was normal, though I did feel good pumps in my triceps ending my workout with dips. However, I am not saying this is due to Stoked!, as I have not done dips in a very long time, and they've always tore me up (though unsure if this easily). Did not have a good last set of incline dumbbell press, and ended them early with only one set (after two of dumbbell bench press).

The joint pain continued today, but this time in the joints of the shoulders. To be quite frank, I was fucking pissed, and am unsure what to blame. In all fairness, I did do about 15-20 minutes of low-intensity shadowboxing prior to going to the gym, though I had done this before many times before without any problems when continuing to the gym.

I will be doing back and biceps tomorrow after work.

In addition, I will try to post more detailed workout logs. I am just trying to play a bit of catch up with this log since I started the actual writing just today. Lastly, I want to thank the folks at Anabolic Innovations for giving me the opportunity to review their product.

Also, I weighed in at 190 even at the gym tonight, though I must note I was wearing gym pants and a t-shirt, and not on an empty stomach. I expect to weigh in around 183-185 tomorrow morning.

Good looking lab bro sorry to hear about the joint pain:thumb:

In for the journey, nice log man! If joint pain persists may want to pick up some USP Cissus and bump fish oil up to 1g. EPA/DHA. :thumb:

Damn.. very upset with myself over the past few days.

Tuesday night, I planned to hit the gym shortly after work. I was feeling like crap all day; tired out of my mind, unfocused.. I think it was the lack of sleep. I was also in meetings all day (literally, four hours of my day went to meetings), and my lunch break was cut short so I ate Target food (which is nearby) and I didn't make the best choices (buffalo chicken wings, potato fries, and a deli sandwich). This also led to me missing my usual around-lunch dose of Stoked!. I was so tired when I got back home, I literally laid down and passed out. I woke up with twenty minutes to get ready for work the next morning. Freakin' ridiculous; I couldn't believe it, but I do this about once every three weeks since starting this new job.

So tonight (Wednesday), I was definitely going to hit that damn gym. I was feeling really good all day (I got plenty of sleep the night before, lol), even with a shitton of work and more work to take home. I was going to have an incredible back day for sure.

I left the office a little bit later than I had wanted (had to make sure I got most of my work done), went to the grocery store to get more chicken, got home, cooked, ate my dinner, it was around 8pm. My gym closes at 10pm, so I had plenty of time to get a good 40 minute workout in there.

Right as I was leaving for the door, I get a work-related phone call. Since a lot of my work is global, I often have to make and take international phone calls at night. I was going to try to limit this phone call to about half an hour. This did not happen. I got off the phone with about twenty-five minutes to work out if I really hauled ass to the gym. I threw my shoes on, then I got another phone call with follow-up questions. :(:(:(

Needless to say, I didn't get to lift tonight, but I couldn't waste my energy. I ended up putting in a really intense biking workout for half an hour. Going to really push hard to do back day tomorrow, but for now, I've got to make sure I get some sleep.

I hope things calm down for you bro just keep plugging along:thumb:

keep at it..stoked has been known to cause some serious joint pain..and it seems to be the trend in most users! Let us know how it works out

STOKED is actually anti-inflammatory in nature, NOT pro-inflammatory. STOKED is not a substance to induce joint pain, where did you hear that?

Hope everything goes well Kent, hopefully you can get a solid WO in tomorrow.

i've read alot of people are seeing joint pain while taking it.. and i thought it was just as you described. A few guys in my local gym have got off of it because of it.

mental thing maybe? start THINKING very bit of anything is joint pain from heavy lifting?

I've heard of increased DOMS, but not joint pain attributed to the use of STOKED. Maybe heavier lifting is taxing the joints since strength is rising faster then usual.

I just finished my pct with Post Cycle Support which is the same as Stoked no joint pain at all:thumb:

I ran stoked! for 30 days. Log here. I had not heard of this joint ache thing before I started or while I was on it. Other than my usual aches and pains I didn't experience anything extra. Nor an increase in DOMS. I throw this in because I'm curious as to how much of the pain is real and how much is a placebo effect from reading about it...
