Hey everyone, Im a newb to this site, but Im tryin to get some input on my diet, exercise, and supplements.

In the past year and a half I have gone down from 275lbs to 182lbs currently. I lost alot of weight, but also lost alot of muscle mass which I trying hard to gain back. For exercise, I lift 6 days a week doing chest and tri's on mon/thurs, biceps and back tues/fri, and shoulders and legs wed/sat. I work abs every other day, and run usually either 4 or 5 times a week for a half hour. Im tryin to get rid of that damn fat in my midsection which is the most annoying thing ever by running mostly and abs routine.

As for my diet, I try and eat about 200 grams of protein a day, including a protein shake after lifting. I take animal m-stak 45 minutes prior to lifting, and I also take cla 3 times a day with meals. Lastly Im taking Centrum Performance Multivitamin every morning. Ive heard that some of the things Im taking are good from some, and crap from others. Please leave your input in this thread as to any suggestions as to supplements I should take, foods to eat, exercise suggestions, or just suggestions in general. Thanks alot for any input guys, its appreciated. I know this is a supplements forum, but I didnt really want to post in a bunch of forums for one thing.

Oh yea, I should probably add that Im tryin to bulk up and add muscle, while losing fat. Sorry to post again, im done.

Bulking and cutting are hard to do at the same time. You can add muscle and loose fat at the same time, but you can't do either of them very well if your trying to do both. I have known guys on gear that have done this, but then again that is a whole different ball of wax.

I guess to narrow it down a little more, Im basically trying to lower my body fat %.... maybe that will help

I agree with TrojanMan about the difficulty of gaining muscle and losing fat at the same time. I've read that it's best to lose most of the fat first, then work on gaining the muscle. If you feel like you've lost enough weight, I'd suggest moving into a muscle-building mode. Supposedly, the increased muscle mass will burn more calories, thereby increasing your base metabolic rate. Try cutting your running back to 3 days a week and see how it goes.

Eating a clean diet is going to make sure you put on good lean muscle, and will help reduce the amount of fat you will put on. I would still do cardio but less often, and maybe for a shorter duration. I don't know what your doing for cardio now so its hard to give advice of what you should do. Basically its your diet that is going to determine if you gain muscle, or lose fat.
