I'm looking to get a wide metal-banded watch. So far, the best I've found is a Diesel watch.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Here's the Diesel watch, its got a 4 inch wide band:

I bought a real nice Movado a few years back that I love. Expensive, yes. The coolest design in the history of watches, also yes.

4 inches? are you sure?

Wow, I don't believe it! I own the exact same watch. And I'm a Celtics fan. Now if you can just get over the fact that the Yankees are, and always will be a better franchise than the Red Sox...:owned:

Sorry Soxmuscle-sometimes I just can't help myself. Probably all those world championships make us Yankee fans a bit cocky!

If I'm gonna wear a 4 inch watch they better come as a pair and be able to deflect bullets

..also they should conceal little touchscreen computers for remotely steering my car or surfing the net.....

DOMs, first please tell me you are a woman. With that Avatar, I'd hate to think, after all the times I've . . . well, I'm going to leave it there. I love watches, and if you want something unusual check out Bell & Ross or Graham Chronofighters -- you can buy metal bands for both -- they are incredibly stylish. I've bought watches from this link (they're In Ft. Lauderdale) and they have some really cool stuff, but only one Graham at the moment. Thanks, man.

Hate to burst your bubble, but I'm a guy. I used to have pictures posted in my gallery, but had them taken down after I was banned.

Sorry sweetie, the band width on that is about 1.4 inches. 36 mm.

That diesel watch either looks like some goth-cyborg byproduct or a weird man bracelet.

Fuck that! I refuse to wear a watch bigger than my penis! :grumble:

I like the Diesel but it's a quarts digital for christ's sake. Did you check out Graham Chronofighters? Bell & Ross instruments? These are among the coolest automatic time pieces on earth. And you will not find them at some bullshit shopping mall.

Neg. It's an LED watch, not quartz.

I did look at them, they're nice and all, but I don't feel like parting with $4000-$5000 for a watch.

I was just looking at one of these in the pawn shop yesterday. It is cool looking but the no numbers thing would drive me nuts.

That diesel one is pretty cool imo

Yeah, you're right about that. There are a lot better ways to spend your money. MTM makes a pseudo military black ops watch that really does have an excellent built in LED flashlight; nice and big and heavy, the Black Hawk or Vulture.

4" will give you one nice tan line:)

DOMs, where are you primarily looking to wear this watch, and with what sort of clothes? Also, what is your price range?

Main things to take into consideration:

1. If the watch is going to be worn with long sleeve button up shirts or jackets/suits, get a slim watch. You will look like a tool if your clothes bunch up around your watch.

2. Purchase in the correct price range. If you are just looking to have a decent watch for day to day living, there really is no reason to go over $200. If you are looking for a nice general all round watch, the $500 range will suit your needs, and for a nice business class watch, you can keep it around $1000 without being overtly pretentious.

You can get a decent timepiece in the sub $150 with a Fossil. I wouldn't purchase one to wear with a suit however. They have enough makes and models that you could easily find something nice.

Diesel is a good company, but they have shifted their business focus so many times, that I would hesitate to spend any substanital amount.

For a good entry level watch that you can wear anywhere, you absolutely cannot go wrong with a Seiko or a Citizen or Bulova. They are nice, relatively inexpensive and you can get them serviced easily.

In the 1k range you can't beat Movado. Period. Very classy look that will ALWAYS be in style, they hold their value, and go with any decent outfit. Yes I am a little biased, but Movado has always been my favorite brand, and I saved for years to get my first one.

One more tip DOMs. When you are shopping look for previous years models. They wont have them in the showcase often, but you can shave a LOT of money off a watch if you buy the previous years.

Tell you what I'll mount a pocket watch on my cock ring and send it to you.....

 at 4 inches wouldn't that be more of a cage than a ring?
