Despite these efforts, it appeared to be too late. Dadashev would go on to be seen at Prince George?s Hospital, in Maryland. According to reports, the St. Petersburg native would go on to pass away here, due to brain injuries suffered in the fight.
Dadashev was looking to use his boxing career to earn a U.S. green card. He was well on his way, as the winner of that fight was expected to face the IBF Super-Welterweight Champion. This is a tragic circumstance for the young prospect.
During the fight, there was video captured, in which you could hear Dadashev?s trainer, Buddy McGirt begging him to stop the fight. Despite his cries, Dadashev was still resistant to the idea.
?I?m going to stop the fight. Max, I?m going to stop it. Max, you?re getting hit too much. You?re getting hit too much, Max. Please, Max, please, let me do this, okay? Okay? Look at me. Please.?
