need advice on a good meal replacement powder. I have seen gold standard and isopure, can someone let me know which is good. I am trying lean (tone) need to keep carbs at a low and proteins high. Anyone recommend???

Isopure is good, but you have other options. I think what matters most is liking the flavor, if the quality is great but you hate the flavor you wont want to drink it. Try isopure, tha vanilla and chocolate are very good IMO.

IMO, Myoplex is the best tasting hands down. It's also probably the most expensive but it's worth it for me as my weekness is chocolate and when I feel a need to cheat a Myoplex will fill that need.

I don't consider pure protein a meal replacement, personally. The addition of vitamin/minerals (isopure) doesn't a meal make, either.

Look for

- Protein blend (mostly milk proteins)
- 3-6 grams of healthy fats (safflower etc, NO creamer/hydros)
- <20 grams of complex carbs (not maltodextrin)

Myoplex, Met-RX are decent brand names, but there are many other good choices. Advanced Delivery Systems makes a good one with lots of anti-oxidants. Ergopharm had a good one a few years back. Watch out for ones that have > 6mg (35% RDA) iron, as too much supplemental iron is not desirable. This is my biggest gripe with meal replacement and ready-made "weight gainers".
