I actually watched an episode from Alton Brown - Good Eats (best food network show ever!) and he was mentioning something similar to how healthy Mediterranean diets being very healthy. I could live on it that's for sure! Olives, nuts, fish....mmmm hummus
 
I agree whole heartedly! A generally Mediterranean diet is no imposition whatsoever.
 
Kalmata Olives are the only way to go though. The cheap black olives are not only dyed with iodine, but are completely flavorless. When you're training hard, you got to eat good.
