Neither of those cats are trying to sleep, they are squinching their eyes in humiliation while plotting revenge in their devious little minds. My cat used to do that when i was making him mad. then at some point in the future he would knock something breakable over, or lay on my jacket and release his fur follicles covering it in vengeance.....or he'd just attack my bare ankle when I'd get out of bed in the morning....
