Very helpful forum. Tons of useful information.

I am 34, 206 ibs. 5.9"

My body has always responded well to working out, If I wanted to bulk up and not try to lose weight. I am lifting 4-5 days per week doing slowburn max weight, with 3 reps per set until failure. I know I will never be perfectly cut or "huge" but I do make noticeable physical improvements, and psychologically lifting benefits me in several ways. I have more energy, use my time better, and I feel better about my self.

I am currently in Vietnam teaching English, so instead of Protein powders (and some Creatine use in the past) I eat several cans of Tuna fish per day (with mustard). Boring yes, but effective.

My strengths are that my body responds well to lifting.

My weaknesses are that 1. after usually 4 months in the gym, I get "bored" or somehow lose my desire to lift. Then I stop. The I start back up again after 3-4 or up to 7 months. don't know why. Probably part of my personality.

Weakness 2. I do like to drink cold beers every night.

All this said, I still lift, and eat right after a workout and 90 mintues later, taking adavantage of the "golden window" or "zone."

I eat .80 of grams per protein of my weight every day.

Question: is there hope for me? Be honest. I can take it.
