Quick background. Last November at age of 38 (No history of AAS), I decided that I was tired of watching my libido, mental focus, ability to heal from injury, strength, body fat, etc. all slowly become less favorable. I went to an antiaging doc and he tested me. My total test was 700, free test was 12, IGF was 133. He put me on HCG sq ed and Sermorelin sq ed. In a month, everything improved. Even my allergies disappeared. It was awesome. A month later, those benefits started to taper back away. I stuck with it though and sort of plateaued. After 3 months of that, I went in to get tested. Test was still 700, free was around 10 and IGF was 160. He put me on test cyp 200 ew and tevtropin 1iu ed. Still nothing like that first month and not much better than before I started trt. I know HGH takes a while to have any effect so I stuck with this program for 6 months. Got tested again. Test was 1400, free was over 20, IGF 200. But I didn't feel significantly better enough to justify all the gear usage and I was worried about causing permanent shutdown so I decided to stop. I stopped evertying, waited a few weeks while I tried to figure out what to do and then started Clomid 50mg ed. I'm a few weeks into that and slowly shedding muscle and watching veins hide away and belly grow a little. It sucks. All the symptoms I wanted to treat with trt are now slighlty worse than when I started. So my ? is:

What if I get tested and the Clomid didn't work? Should I just wave the flag and go on TRT for the rest of my life? Should i do something else to recover my HPTA and then focus on a peptide/hgh based supplementation? Any other advice or suggestions are welcome as well.

your estrogenl and/or shbg is high...when your total test goes up but your free doesn't it means your test is converting to estrogen or binding to a high amount of shbg..

tell your doc to run labs on your shbg and estrogen...and thou the hcg will mimic the lh signal it will also raise your e2...

high estrogen increases the binding to the shbg..so high estrogen is most likely the culprit..get labs..

estradiol was 30, deemed normal. We suspect that shbg was a little high but adjusting this is hit or miss and free test did go up to 20 when total was 1400.

my last labs my total was 1375 and my free was 556...thats what you want..20 is barely in range..

I get the female hormone panel, lipid panel, free test, and SHGB.
Cheaper, easy, convenient - and go to any labcorp for the blood draw.

This way I have control and know for sure - no waiting or guessing.
The Dr says come back in 3 months... I just lol.

If my estradiol was 30 (normal) and the 1400 total equated to 20 free, then there is some way to lower my SHBG predictably? Could cortisol be an issue? I think the peaks and valleys of injections were a problem also. I may try compounded topical cream, start at 10%.
