Welcome! Check out the Diet & Nutrition forum and the Training forum. I'm sure you'll find many of your basic questions answered, but you'll probably find yorurself w/ more questions. Then start a thread on one of those forums, include some stats about yourself (height, weight, est of bodyfat or current body situation), what is your background in terms of gym time, training, physical activity and then a sample of your current diet (e.g. portion sizes, total cals, etc.) And of course your goals.
