I have been lurking around these forums for a bit, just reading what everyone has to say about different routines and supplements and such. I am an 18 year old male about 5'10 and a half and weigh approximately 145 pounds. I have been a runner since age 14 but recently changed my fitness routine in hopes of gaining some muscle mass and definition. I have some questions and would GREATLY appreciate any input whatsoever.
My workout so far goes like this:
Mon: Chest/Triceps
Tues: Biceps/Shoulders
Wed: Back/Legs
Thurs: Abs
Fri: Day off
Sat: Cardio/Football/Basketball
Sunday: Day off
Monday through Thursday I start my workout with 10 min of jump rope. I was wondering if anybody could critique my routine. I have heard overworking the abs while trying to gain mass is a bad idea, as your midsection would likely bulk up as well. Is this true?
Also, I plan to start taking NO Xplode, Creatine Monohydrate, and Whey to maximize my mass gain.
Any help, especially with my weekly routine, would really help. Thanks.
