I'm new...;) ..just recently found out that in order for a female getting "bulky" (most women don't want be) is to train very hard for long period of time.....right? Anyway...now that i got that...i try to train like a man.....not fearing big weights.
My question is (been at this for 3 weeks now....and just barley starting to see results) is .....I am not sure about what weight to alternate and when to stick in the cardio? The first week I made a mistake by half hour cardio to half hour of weights. Then i learned you have to rest muscles. Anyway.....so ....do i do weights one day and cardio the other day and keep alternation from one day to the next? Cuz i find myself doing all weights once i get started and have no self control to do "arms one day...second day legs....back the next and so forth..." so i do all weights one day....all cardio the next day....is that ok? Will i get results? Lose fat? Too much? not enough? Help me please..:( ...Thank you...

Your questions are very broad and therefore hard to answer. I think you need to read through the stickies in the training forum.

I will say this, you should split your workout ....for example, chest and tri's one day, back and bi's another, legs one day, shoulders...there are any number of training splits detailed here, I think you do some searching and read the stickies.

Welcome!

Thank you Pepper for responding.....

Since i am so new at this....i didn't realize my questions are so broad. I will read the "stickys" as you call it....and hopefully i will understand what the heck i am doing. I wish i could get a personal trainer but they are spendy. Just want to get healthy not broke.

One question though......some people suggest not to eat for a couple of hours after work out.....is that true? Why? Are you still burning fat and it helps to wait for 2 hours in order to burn fat instead of calories? Not sure......

Anyway....ty
