I would like to get opinions on this fellas. Mike Vick's injury isn't healing very quickly, he is still unable to jog on his ankle which is behind his foreseen recovery rate. now Atlanta is 1-4 without him and their playoff hopes look bleak with undefeated Carolina leading the division and Tampa Bay close behind them, so with the playoffs almost out of reach already would you rush him back this season in a few weeks hoping that he is close to 100%, or would you let your franchise player take the year off and heal completely so they he come back strong next year at 100%. Keep in mind that Atlanta's offensive line is not looking strong this year and he probably would be hit alot. What would you do?

I wouldn't rush him back before he was 100%, but if he's ready to go at some point during the season, I'd play him even if the playoffs were out of the question.

Yeah, don't forget the playoffs are out of the question either way BUT ticket sales down the stretch are not...Vick sells alot of tickets and alot of jerseys.

For example, if he is playing, I will drive down for a game with my son. If he is not, I won't.

If it was me, I wouldn't chance him coming back too soon!

You have to wait until he's totally healed before throwing him back into the fire. Remember that this would have been only his second year as a started and while he was (maybe will be again) the fastest player on the field, he still needs to improve his passing accuracy. So, wait until he's 100% and then use the rest of this lousy year to enable him to gain more experience and improve any areas he is lacking. Then, use the high draft choice to improve the O-line.

i would be weary of letting him come back too soon...but the fans won't let you get away with making him park it on the bench for the season. They want you to compete each and every year...i would wait till late season, when he is 100% and start getting him some time to get the rust off.
