Nomar Garciaparra tore a tendon in his groin. God damn that's gotta hurt. Did anyone see the replay on ESPN? Dude took two steps out of the batter's box and dropped to the ground in pain.

I really feel bad for Nomar. I was hoping to see him rebound after a terrible 2004 and lead the Cubs into the postseason.

Ouch... that is crappy news. Good guy, too bad.

You gotta wonder what the cause of all his injury woes are. Off-season training?

Mia Hamm riding him cowgirl style too hard?

This is what my buddy had to say about it...

"He was THE Red Sock for about half a decade. Wins batting titles. Bangs every hotty in Beantown. Gets jerked off by Teddy Ballgame at the 99 all star game. Then what happens...the same nightmare that stalks every pro athlete from Gretzky to Giambi to Kobe to Tiger. The monster that takes them from the top of the universe to some mediocre hell hole...i.e. marriage.

Oldest story ever told...Boy hits ball. Boy wins fans over. Boy meets girl. Boy marries girl. Boy gets hurt. Boy gets booed. Boy gets traded. Boy's old boys rip him in the newspaper. Boy's old team reverses the curse. Boy gets hurt again. Boy never gets into the HALL."

Pretty funny if you ask me.
Moral of the story, don't get married haha

A lot of Sox fans believe that his appearance on the cover of Sport Illustrated back in 2001 was what hexed Nomar....it was downhill all the way since that photoshoot.

More like, boy has plenty of time on his hands, boy trains like a banshee, boy meets girl, boy marries girl, boy's free time goes away, boy trains less, boy tries to perform like boy used to, boy tears groin muscle off the bone because boy ain't what he used to be.
